New Facebook Group

If you are on Facebook (or would like to be), I invite you to join my new Revolution! Group. If you haven't done Facebook yet (or if you are avoiding it like I had been), give it a try--it's addictive! I'm also looking for more friends, so...see you soon!

First Bad Rating...

Well, it happened. Some guy from Texas didn't like my game so much he took the time to rate it (and include detailed comments). So I have an ugly "3" on my ratings page. But the good news is that I'm up to 14 ratings (30 needed to receive a Ranking). So thanks, guy from Texas!

In other news, another guy from Texas bought a copy of my game today. So there... :)

Trickling Along

I haven't posted in a while, mainly because I have been really busy. Sales have continued at a slow but steady pace. I have just about 2 months to prepare for Origins, although several major distractions loom in the distance: 1. My wife's sister is getting married...it's a big deal. 2. I have to take a few education classes to hold onto my certification...before the end of June. 3. We are planning a trip to see my parents (BTW, hi, Mom and Dad--thanks for being one of my few readers). But I am determined not to be discouraged.

I also read a very good book about running a business: Before You Quit Your Job by Robert Kiyosaki (part of the Rich Dad series). I highly recommend it!

Spring Gathering 2008

Today I attended Spring Gathering VI at the Cincinnati Museum Center. Unfortunately, I was not able to participate in the Axis & Allies tournament. However, I did create a little positive buzz for Revolution! Here are some of the great folks who consented to play a demo:

I ended up making two sales and giving out lots of business cards. Thanks to Greg Smorey for running a great event (as usual) and letting me piggy-back with my game. Hope to see some of you guys again at Origins!

Revolution! on BGG Now Over 700 Hits

This may not be huge news, but it's encouraging to me. In other news I sold my first game to Germany yesterday. Thanks, Thomas!

Spain Discovers Revolution!

Revolution! got a mention on a forum in Spain called BSK. Here is the Babel Fish translation, if you can call it that:

Watching that way, I have found east game that seems quite peculiar, not stopping being a game of majorities and secret bets and with a quite austere design. However, I leave enalce you to its Web where podreis to see one demo (that it lets see the sencillito that is), unload the rules and to even buy it if podeis not to hold your compulsive slope.

I don't get it, either, but it's still pretty neat. I had one inquiry from Spain yesterday, but the $19.00 shipping fee seemed to scare him off. Fortunately, it did not discourage two Italian customers!
