Kingdom of Solomon Prototype Board

James put this up on his Minion Games FB page, so I'm guessing it's cool to post this picture (here and at BGG). This is the latest version of the Kingdom of Solomon prototype game board. The final version will (I hope) look much nicer!

New Game Announced: Family Vacation

Today the new Board Game News blog at BGG carried an announcement of two upcoming games from Jolly Roger Games, one of which is my Family Vacation (previously American Vacation)! Production prices and a few other odds and ends are still being figured, but it looks like things are starting to move. After all, I just got the BGG page up last night! Here are a few pictures of the original prototype:

Keep in mind that these components will most likely go through some significant changes before the final game is released. In other news, Isabel's game, Tiger Stripes, was mentioned on the Purple Pawn blog! She has been doing a good job with sales since the launch last week. There's still time to order one!

Tiger Stripes Arrives!

The UPS truck dropped of these two large boxes this afternoon. Isabel's 50 copies of Tiger Stripes have officially arrived! We opened up a copy to check it out--very nice job by Blue Panther.

The pre-order discount is still available until February 11. After that, I'll put up a PayPal Buy button. Isabel is pretty pumped about the whole process. She's committed to hand-drawing a little tiger on each receipt--just to say thanks.

Below you can see some pictures of the final product. The cards turned out very well and the tiger stripe tiles are made of real wood!

The finished box (it's a very snug fit, so be gentle when opening the first time).

Here are all the components. Your box will also include a plastic bag (big enough for the cards and wooden stripes). It also contains an insert that doesn't work all that well but is not really needed anyway.

The first game was mailed today. It will soon reach Isabel's
great grandparents in Kentucky who paid in advance.
